Did anyone watch the Micheal Jackson memorial on TV yesterday? From the parts that I watched, it definitely was a service fit for a legend. Now don't take this the wrong way, but I wasn't a super fan of him. Sure I liked some of his music, and he revolutionized the way music videos where made....and he made you really wonder about the whole bubbles the chimp deal, as well as many other things, but when it's all said and done, he was who he was. And it's really not my place to pass judgment on him....or his family, his children or the mother of his children. I'm sure there are more important things that I can worry about than all that......BUT, lol I did want to say that when the Rev. Al Sharpton stood up and gave his speech, I had a few good laughs. Now I know that might sound demented and twisted, but how can you not laugh when he said, "THERE WASN'T NOTHIN STRANGE ABOUT YOUR DADDY! IT WAS STRANGE WHAT YOUR DADDY HAD TO DEAL WITH!" I mean really, that had to be the greatest line since, "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit!"
On a serious note, John Mayer's rendition of Human Nature was spot on. Though I didn't really care for the singers in the background joining in half way through, it was probably one of the best instrumental versions of a song I have ever heard!
I will see you down the road.
